My heels slip when I walk, is this normal?

Unlike most shoes, wood clogs won’t bend so your heel will lift as you walk. This may take some getting used to if you’re new to clogs. Take your time, wear your clogs for short periods while you become accustomed to the gentle rock of the wood base.

How do I find my Sandgrens size?

Measure your feet and compare the length measurements (of both feet) to the measurements found in the size guide to ensure the perfect fit.

Keep in mind that sizing may vary between styles, so always refer to the specific size guide for each design.

Does the leather stretch?

Our leathers stretch to some extent as it conforms to your foot. It will however not stretch to the extent that it loses its shape. You should not downsize with the expectation that the leather stretching will make your clogs too big.

Will the leather soften with wear?

Breaking in high quality leathers may take some time. As you break it in it’ll conform to your foot, loosen its grain and become more supple. If you want to speed up the process, we’d recommend massaging the leather in-between wears.

What type of leathers do you use? How do I care for them?

At Sandgrens we use only the finest leathers to craft our authentic Swedish clogs. We use two types of leather, Vegetable Tanned leather (full grain) and Nubuck leather (top grain). Read about how to care for them on the Care page in our storefront.
